SUMMER READING KICK-OFF @ YOUR LIBRARY DAY
JUNE 1, 2005

WHEREAS, North Dakota libraries that sponsor summer reading programs encourage children to visit their community libraries and explore new places, while keeping up on their reading skills during the summer months; and
WHEREAS, summer reading programs are important to the youth of North Dakota and encourage a life long love of reading; and
WHEREAS, summer reading programs promote fun and exciting ways for children to discover the power of literature; and
NOW, THEREFORE, as Governor of the State of North Dakota, I do hereby proclaim June 1, 2005, SUMMER READING KICK-OFF @ YOUR LIBRARY DAY in the state of North Dakota.
