Governor Hassan's Statement on Confirmation of Kate Bailey to the Public Utilities Commission

Governor Maggie Hassan issued the following statement after the Executive Council confirmed the nomination of Kate Bailey of Bow to the Public Utilities Commission in a bipartisan vote:

"Kate Bailey has had a distinguished career of service at the Public Utilities Commission that will help her carry out the commission's critical work to protect consumers and ensure that our people, families and businesses receive safe, affordable and reliable utility services. Kate's skills will help the commission as it undertakes important work to modernize our electric grid, take advantage of energy innovations that can empower consumers to take control of their energy use, and take advantage of technologies that will allow our state to become more energy independent. I applaud the Executive Council for their swift confirmation, and I thank Kate Bailey for her willingness to take on this important responsibility."
