Hoeven Announces Rural Development Funding For First Care Health Center In Park River
Gov. John Hoeven today announced that the First Care Health Center in Park River will receive Rural Development funding from the United States Department of Agriculture to renovate its hospital and clinic. A Community Facility Loan of $4 million and a loan guarantee of almost $1 million have been secured for the project.
"Access to quality healthcare is critical to our state, especially our rural communities," Hoeven said. "This funding will help bring enhanced medical technology and expanded patient services to the region, providing local residents with more healthcare options right in their own community."
The First Care Health Center will use the funding to add an operating room and eye clinic, renovate the existing radiology laboratory and emergency room, and expand the center's in-patient services.
