Governor Maggie Hassan issued the following statement after today signing Senate Bill 223, relative to name availability for business organizations:

"Through our Live Free and Start initiative, we are working with business leaders and entrepreneurs to build on New Hampshire's many economic advantages and make it easier for innovative companies to start up and grow. A priority of Live Free and Start, Senate Bill 223 is an important part of those efforts, easing the process for registering a business in the Granite State by clarifying the approval process for filing a business name and making it more reliable and consistent. I thank Senator Woodburn, the bipartisan group of legislators who supported this bill, the business community and Live Free and Start for their commitment to supporting innovative businesses, and I am proud to sign this measure into law."
