Location: Concord, NH

Governor Maggie Hassan released the following statement applauding the United States Supreme Court decision in King v. Burwell:

"Today's Supreme Court ruling means that more than 30,000 Granite Staters receiving health insurance tax credits will continue to have access to quality, affordable health coverage through New Hampshire's federally-facilitated marketplace. Thanks to the Affordable Care Act, Granite Staters are no longer being denied coverage due to preexisting conditions, there are no more lifetime caps on coverage, young people are able stay on their parents plans, and thousands of people are able to access primary care that can help reduce costs over the long term."

"We need to keep building on the new competition in our health insurance marketplace to continue making coverage more affordable and more accessible for all of our people and businesses. While the Supreme Court's ruling reduces some of the uncertainty facing our insurance market, it's crucial that we also maintain our commitment to our people, businesses and economy and eliminate the remaining uncertainty in the market by continuing our business-backed, bipartisan health care expansion plan."
