Governor Scott Announces $400,000 in Defense Grants for Bay County

Today, Governor Rick Scott announced that Bay County was awarded $280,000 through Florida's Defense Reinvestment and Infrastructure Grant Programs. The funding will be used to support and sustain Naval Support Activity Panama City and Tyndall Air Force Base, with its $2.6 billion in defense economic impact in Bay County. Governor Scott also announced that Bay County will receive $120,000 through the Florida Defense Support Task Force.

Governor Scott said, "We want Florida to be the most military-friendly state in the country, and these important investments helps us accomplish that goal. These grants will continue to ensure Bay County has all the necessary tools to support our military and create more jobs for Florida."
