| We need an educated citizenry and as such I believe we need a quality education system- birth through adulthood. We need adequate salaries and an economic system where individuals can provide for all of their needs and be full participants of the culture. Freedoms of individuals and groups must be protected. Behavioral health services need to be expanded. We must protect our community by completion of the river diversion in order to prevent flooding. We also need to create a permanent water resource by transfer of water from the west to the east in times of prolonged drought. | |||
| I believe there are many areas of priority, and I will apportion my energies among them. I believe in funding them from our tax base, our Legacy earnings, user fees, and participation with federal and private sources of funding. It is important that the different branches of government, political parties, and interest groups work together to arrive at a balanced budget by the end of the legislative session. |
