| 1-Clean air & water. 2-Good PUBLIC schools. 3-Restoring reproductive freedom for the women of WV. As to #1, the Department of Environmental Protection needs more inspectors. The amount of additional funding is small enough that I think it can come from elsewhere in the budget without negatively affecting other programs. As to #2, Public school teachers and service workers need major raises. Some of this can come from limiting the voucher subsidies so that they would be no longer available to people wealthy enough to afford sending their children to private schools. The rest must come from additional resources, which I think we can get by legalizing cannabis for general adult use. As to #3, no additional funding would be required. |
