One year while voting a senior citizen came in with her adult daughter. She did not have a driver's license and had just moved in with her daughter for care. Our laws allow her daughter to vouch for her. Refusing to allow her to vote would have been unjust. | |||

The cost of our failure to provide this is being carried by all of us in higher emergency room costs, policing/justice/incarceration rates, the cost of chemical addiction for those who self-medicate, etc. I believe that much of the cost savings downstream will cover the cost of providing comprehensive services.
