| A person should never lose their home because they cannot pay property tax. I would like to find alternative ways to fund our schools and county projects. I also would like to eventually eliminate the income tax and compensate by increasing the state sales tax where everyone pays taxes according to what they can afford. The rich would pay higher tax simply because they can afford to buy more items where the poor would pay less tax because they cannot afford to buy as much. It would be a "fair" tax. | |||
| The state government is too large and should be reduced in size.The state does not produce any product that beings in revenue in order to support it. It brings in revenue by taxing the people. The larger the government becomes the more the people have to be taxed to run it. The private sector employees do not receive automatic cost of living increases so why should state employees? It's not "fair". Cut spending, reduce the size of government but do not increase taxes. The people already pay way too much of their hard earned money on taxes. | |||

| Excessive taxes and regulations at all levels are hindering the growth of our state economy and driving businesses to other states that are more business friendly, states such as South Dakota and North Dakota. It also discourages business growth and business start ups and prevents out of state businesses from relocating here. Solution: reduce government regulations and eliminate corporate and small business income taxes. MNsure, Minnesota�s version of Obamacare, is a disaster. It is expensive, complicated, restricts patient benefits and still leaves people uninsured. There is no fixing it. Scrap it and start over. |
