| Families have been forced to make tough cuts in their household budgets as Lansing balances the state budget on their backs. Lansing shouldn't be immune from making sacrifices. I've voted to cut my own salary and benefits and end lifetime benefits for lawmakers. Michigan's economy is the most critical problem facing taxpayers today. We must support small business growth and expansion to create jobs and support programs that train workers for the jobs of the future. Taxpayers have also lost their voice in state government. That's why I will fight to protect families over deep-pocketed special interests. |
