Andrew Horning has provided voters with clear stances on key issues by responding to the 2024 Political Courage Test.
| Do you generally support pro-choice or pro-life legislation? | |||
| Yes | Do you support the Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe v. Wade? | ||
| A constitutional, truly "federal" government has very, very few authorized roles in what was supposed to be a Republic. Murder, abortion, theft...most things are state-level issues. My whole ethos is Pro-Life and Pro-Individual. But I'd be happy to chat about the practical and moral arguments against government interventions, and the fact that our culture has become an anti-human, anti-child, anti-life monstrosity. But it's not a federal issue, now, and shouldn't be, by constitutions and practical administration. Side note: trans-border disputes should be handled in courts, and only as individual cases - not as universally applicable law. | |||
| Yes | Do you support the regulation of indirect campaign contributions from corporations, unions, and individuals? | ||
| We already have regulation, but it favors the corrupt, and squashes alternative parties and candidates. We've got more money than ever coming in from not only PACS, corporations, NGOs and INGOs, but also from foreign governments. Voters should stop voting for it. | |||
| No | Do you support protecting government officials, including law enforcement officers, from personal liability in civil lawsuits concerning alleged misconduct? | ||
| Absolutely not. Politicians need to be kept to much higher, not lower standards, than the rest of us are held to. | |||
| No | Do you support increasing defense spending? | ||
| Here're three PRs from this year on the subject: https://wedeclare.wordpress.com/2024/10/04/make-peace-you-fools/ https://wedeclare.wordpress.com/2024/08/27/end-of-the-american-empire/ https://wedeclare.wordpress.com/2024/08/12/why-wwiii-is-not-as-good-as-it-sounds/ Short answer: I'm all about (with apologies to Jefferson) "Peace, commerce, and cautious friendship with all nations, entangling alliances with none." Global MYOB. And very specifically, let's turn from this corrupt economic and genuinely existential self-immolation. Generals Smedley Butler and Dwight Eisenhower tried to warn us about this! | |||
| No | Do you support federal spending as a means of promoting economic growth (e.g. grants, tax incentives)? | ||
| No | Do you support the federal government increasing funding for affordable housing programs? | ||
| Yes | Do you support the federal government taking action, beyond those of the Federal Reserve, to alleviate inflation? | ||
|
|||
| The Federal Reserve scam IS inflation! I'll back that up: https://wedeclare.wordpress.com/2024/04/30/money-inflation-and-how-to-fix-it-all/ As I already said, everything our puppet politicians do in the economy helps only the donor class, and hurts the rest of us with global market distortions, malinvestment, and wealth redistribution from the bottom and middle, up to the crony top. | |||
| No | Do you support the forgiveness of federal student loan debt? | ||
| "Forgiveness" is politically-motivated language. There can be no forgiveness of student load debt. The debt is merely transferred from some of the most advantaged people in our society (those who can attend college), to the rest of us...including the very poorest among us. This is immoral theft and overt vote-buying. | |||
| Yes | Do you support requiring a government-issued identification in order to vote at the polls? | ||
| We need ID for everything less important, and we have too much election fraud. My campaign team proved it in 2004; but it's been well-known enough since at least LBJ's ludicrous "Box 13 Scandal" that we should be much more serious about election security. ...Particularly as we know that illegal aliens have been voting for some time now. | |||
| No | Do you support government funding for the development of renewable energy (e.g. solar, wind, geo-thermal)? | ||
| Yes | Do you support the federal government allowing permits for drilling on public lands? | ||
| Qualified Yes. I'm very "green," and to a degree and in a way much greater than the average Democrat. We need to take care of our environment, of course. To do otherwise is madness. But also, much of "federally owned" land is actually deeded in perpetuity contingent upon terms that may make drilling, etc., a violation of the land grant. | |||
| No | Do you generally support gun-control legislation (e.g. red flag laws, boyfriend loopholes)? | ||
| This is another question from a faulty paradigm. What we really ought to do is look at what we've been doing to our children and young men/women with prescription psychotropics known to have side-effects of suicidal and homicidal "ideation," and action. We have an awful mental health/ physical health crisis that affects boys disproportionally. Look at the statistics in imprisonment, drug abuse, behavioral problems, retardation, spectrum disorders, and suicide. Try to think less about the guns themselves, and more about the humans holding them. Besides... The Second Amendment is about much, much more than just guns. It's part of the whole constitutional design for peace, prosperity, security and freedom...both domestic, and foreign. Please consider this: https://rumble.com/v4oggt9-the-federal-second-amendment-the-truth-you-never-hear.html | |||
| No | Do you support a government-run (e.g. single-payer) healthcare program, such as Medicare-for-All? | ||
| No | Do you support expanding paid family AND/OR medical leave benefits (e.g. maternity leave)? | ||
| No | Should the government be able to regulate the cost of prescription drugs? | ||
| Until my retirement last year, I worked my whole adult life in healthcare - and in research, clinical, education and engineering/ product development roles. And I've written about it for thirty years. Our badly-socialized healthcare system is horrifically corrupt, and criminally counterproductive to public health. ...And we're going broke: https://wedeclare.wordpress.com/2013/10/15/can-politicians-even-define-health-care/ https://wedeclare.wordpress.com/2009/09/23/a-short-history-of-health-care-let-doctors-be-doctors/ https://wedeclare.wordpress.com/2024/03/27/social-insecurity/ | |||
| Yes | Do you support increasing security along the southern US border? | ||
| No | Do you support requiring immigrants to return to their country of origin before they are eligible for citizenship, regardless of their immigration status? | ||
| "Immigration" is not what's happening now. Our government is intentionally luring and transporting people from all around the world, and not just across our southern border, and not just "immigrants," but also drugs, slaves, soldiers... Here's my March 6 PR on the subject, but I've been writing about this for decades: https://wedeclare.wordpress.com/2024/03/06/crisis-at-the-border-or-in-dc/ | |||
| No | Do you support economic intervention as a means of resolving international conflicts? | ||
| No | Do you support the US providing increased offensive military aid to Ukraine? | ||
| No | Do you generally support increased regulations on social media companies (e.g. Tik Tok, Facebook, etc.)? | ||
| This is all corruption and abuse of power, as well as egregious violation of not only the First Amendment, but the whole of the constitution by clear understanding of Amendments 9 and 10: https://wedeclare.wordpress.com/2024/04/01/the-taking-of-tiktok/ | |||
| Seven years ago, I wrote what I think are eight critical steps, that, in order, are critical to restore health to our failed republic: https://wedeclare.wordpress.com/2017/12/15/eight-steps-to-success/ But the short three: 1. End the cronyism/corruption network and culture inherent in the divisive, unconstitutional, wholly corrupt and self-appointed "Two Party System" our founders warned against. 2. Stand down the Stand down "military-industrial complex" and "scientific-technological elite" corruption that Eisenhower warned of, as well as the global imperialism and econo/military hegemony that other nations are lining up to oppose through the BRICS block. Replace it with strong, constitutional national defense. 3. Monetary/banking reform. https://wedeclare.wordpress.com/2024/04/30/money-inflation-and-how-to-fix-it-all/ |
