What is the Political Courage Test?

Ohio Congressional Election 2018 Political Courage Test

Pro-life Do you generally support pro-choice or pro-life legislation?
I am endorsed in this race by the Ohio Right To Life Action Coalition. I have physically attended three January Right To Life marches in Washington DC.
No In order to balance the budget, do you support an income tax increase on any tax bracket?
No In order to balance the budget, do you support reducing defense spending?
During the Obama Administration readiness and morale in the military suffered significant degradation. To recover, I agree with the current spending in the latest Omnibus Appropriations Bill. That said, there is probably potential for future reductions in defense spending once we reconstitute the force. Furthermore, with President Trump's leadership on NATO carrying their fair share and added competition from defense contractors there could be huge savings.
Yes Do you support the regulation of indirect campaign contributions from corporations and unions?
Particularly from unions that contribute union dues of union members who may not support the candidate receiving the contribution.
No Do you support federal spending as a means of promoting economic growth?
No Do you support lowering corporate taxes as a means of promoting economic growth?
I support corporate taxes as specified by Trump's latest tax reform bill.
No Do you support requiring states to adopt federal education standards?
No Do you support government funding for the development of renewable energy (e.g. solar, wind, thermal)?
No Do you support the federal regulation of greenhouse gas emissions?
No Do you generally support gun-control legislation?
I support enforcing laws on the books that do not interfere with our unalienable right to keep and bear arms.
Yes Do you support repealing the 2010 Affordable Care Act ("Obamacare")?
Expand Healthcare Savings Accounts. Allow individuals the same tax write-offs for healthcare expenses as employers.
Yes Do you support the construction of a wall along the Mexican border?
Yes Do you support requiring immigrants who are unlawfully present to return to their country of origin before they are eligible for citizenship?
No Do you support the legalization of marijuana for recreational purposes?
Yes Should the United States use military force in order to prevent governments hostile to the U.S. from possessing a nuclear weapon?
No Do you support increased American intervention in Middle Eastern conflicts beyond air support?
Current levels are sufficient.
1. Lead by example by self-imposing term limits (no more than three terms in the House). Advocate for a Constitutional Amendment to enable term limits. 2. Immigration: Eliminate chain migration, the visa lottery, sanctuary cities. Enhanced border security. Pay for upgrades with illegally obtained resources confiscated from drug smugglers. 3. Send a clean appropriations bill to President Trump that balances the budget.
