| Education funding needs to be revisited and the recommendation of the Commission on the Future of Public Education in Vermont needs to be thoroughly reviewed, consistent with the articles of the Vermont Constitution to find good sense solutions for judicious and responsible spending that will ensure that our students receive an excellent education no matter what their abilities or zip code The Mental Health and Substance crisis is at epidemic proportion which not only affects the lives of those who live it but it affects everyone in its path. Money spent on police involvement, emergency responders, Emergency department and hospital admissions, and all other resources could/would be better spent toward prevention and additional facilities for comprehensive treatment and aftercare. |
