| Expanding paid family or medical leave benefits is hilarious, as in most jobs I've had in my adult life do not offer sick leave or vacation time. It should be mandatory. For every 20 hours worked, an hour of sick leave should be accumulated. For every 40 hours worked, should earn 2 hours of vacation hours. So, after 8 weeks of work, the staff member could use one day for sick leave or PTO. Gender affirming care is more than just for transgender. An intersex child might need hormone therapy to treat something within their bodies. If a teen girl has breasts that are so large that they cause her to have back problems, getting a breast reduction would be classified as gender affirming care. Doctors, parents, and the child are enough to make those choices. The government needs to stop putting themselves into the doctor office of the people. | |||
