| Pro-choice | Do you generally support pro-choice or pro-life legislation? | ||
| No | Do you support the Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe v. Wade? | ||
| Running for the US Senate in the equality state against an incumbent who votes 100% of the time against equality, especially for women, makes one of my top priorities to introduce and support legislation to ensure equality in the equality state. It is embarrassing and morally bankrupt in the richest country in the history of the world to allow children in Wyoming or anywhere else to go to bed hungry or show up to school without eating breakfast. My current constituents sometimes have to choose between food and life saving medicine. We continue to pay the highest prices in the world for prescriptions and healthcare. This has to be corrected, sooner rather than later. | |||
| Yes | Do you support expanding federal funding to support social safety net programs such as Social Security and Medicare? | ||
| No | Do you support a decrease in income taxes in order to balance the budget? | ||
| Yes | Do you support a wealth tax in order to pay for public programs? | ||
| It continues to amaze me that the two Santa Clause theory that started back in the Reagan administration is still alive and well. Furthermore, it is astonishing that our electorates continue to buy into such a scam. The National Debt is never an issue when a republican holds the white house, as clearly demonstrated by the twice impeached, disgraced, convicted criminal from the previous administration as he personally presided over one quarter of ALL the US debt accumulated in the past 200+ years. Now that a Democratic POTUS is in the office, it is time to scream from the roof tops about the debt created by the Republican Congresses and POTUS'. The rich and powerful pay the least amount of tax ever since it was adopted via the 16th amendment to the US Constitution in 1909. This historical reduction in their taxes has added trillions of dollars to the debt. The last great republican POTUS had a top marginal rate of 95%. JFK lowered that to 70%. The top marginal rate today is the lowest in history at 37%. Please be admonished that Social Security and Medicare are funded by workers earned income out of every pay check they receive and are not part of the debt or the budget of the USA. Social Security, for example, sports a nearly $2.8 trillion surplus at the current time. All earned income ceases paying into social security when they reach the current cap of $168,600 meaning our congressional delegation pays zero into social security from the last $5400 of earned income and unearned income has no social security flat tax whatsoever. ONLY workers are funding social security and Medicare. Monopolies contribute zero dollars to these essential programs. Corporate profits fund zero dollars for these programs. I intend to support and introduce legislation to tap these free loaders for contributions to these programs. Those paying into the programs are the same folks who drive the economy and keep the corporate folks solvent. | |||
| Yes | Do you support the regulation of indirect campaign contributions from corporations, unions, and individuals? | ||
| Individuals already have caps on campaign contributions and are heavily regulated. Unions can NOT spend one penny of union dues on campaign contributions and Federal union workers are not even allowed to discuss such things due to the still viable Hatch Act. Corporations and PAC's however can spend limitless funds on campaigns and buy the Presidency and Congress with those now legal bribes since Citizen's United v FEC SCOTUS case legalized these bribes. SCOTUS has recently further legalized bribes to candidates in Snyder v. United States, averring in the 6-3 opinion that gratuities for acts by elected officials are not bribes because it occurs after the powerful ask for the action. Combine that with the repeal of 40 years of precedence in Chevron and the rich and powerful not only control the economy but they now control every aspect of legislation. | |||
| No | Do you support protecting government officials, including law enforcement officers, from personal liability in civil lawsuits concerning alleged misconduct? | ||
| When did equal justice under the law and accountability for ones actions become a bad thing? The rest of us must conduct our affirs lawfully or go to court and/or jail. | |||
| No | Do you support increasing defense spending? | ||
| We give nearly a trillion dollars each and every year ($886.3 billion THIS YEAR) via the constitutionally required NDAA or National Defense Authorization Act. This is required pursuant to Article I, Section 8, Clause 12 OF THE USA CONSTITUTION, clearly enumerating, "The Congress shall have Power To raise and support Armies, but no Appropriation of Money to that Use shall be for a longer Term than two Years". After hundreds of years of legislation to support armies, et al, the DOD has become the most corrupt and wasteful agency in the history of the world. It could not even be audited! | |||
| Yes | Do you support federal spending as a means of promoting economic growth (e.g. grants, tax incentives)? | ||
| Yes | Do you support the federal government increasing funding for affordable housing programs? | ||
| Yes | Do you support the federal government taking action, beyond those of the Federal Reserve, to alleviate inflation? | ||
| When we spend more for military and war than the next ten most expensive budgets of countries therefore, reeling in the military industrial complex excessive funding can provide lots of help for the least among us. Under the FDR list of rights every human being known as "The Second Bill of Rights or Bill of Economic Rights" includes housing. As we endure 45,000 Veterans homeless every day in the USA, we really have lost our way. Every veteran and every citizen has a right to a roof over their head. Inflation is being caused 100% by the greedy monopolies starting with energy sectors who unilaterally decide how much the CEO's should bank. For example these fossil fuel mega corporations are reigning in record profits, with Exxon Mobile reporting $36 billion in profits in 2023 alone! Exxon Chief Executive Darren Woods was paid $35.9 million in 2022. Who do you think is picking up the tab for all this obscene cash flowing to big oil? If transportation pays higher costs to get a commodity to market, they have to raise your price to stay in business. You pay extra or inflated prices twice for the greed of big oil and gas..... | |||
| Yes | Do you support the forgiveness of federal student loan debt? | ||
| It literally boggles my mind that those who are against forgiving student loan debt ever after the debtors pay all the principle and have more accumulated interest fees than that original principle, demanded relief for their debt via the PPP program. The $793 Billion in forgivable government loans issued through the 2020 Paycheck Protection Program by the US Small Business Administration (SBA) are a matter of public record. So we can forgive business debt but not student loan debt? What is wrong with that picture? | |||
| No | Do you support requiring a government-issued identification in order to vote at the polls? | ||
| In Wyoming, numerous ID's are OK to vote. WY Driver's License or ID Card Tribal ID Card Valid US Passport US Military Card DL or ID Card from Another State University of Wyoming Student ID Wyoming Community College Student ID Wyoming Public School Student ID Valid Medicare Insurance Card* Valid Medicaid Insurance Card* Valid Wyoming Concealed Firearm Permit I will never support repeal of any state action to make voting easier. The nation should use Wyoming as an example of voting freedom! | |||
| Yes | Do you support government funding for the development of renewable energy (e.g. solar, wind, geo-thermal)? | ||
| No | Do you support the federal government allowing permits for drilling on public lands? | ||
| We already budget at the federal level hundreds of billions of dollars to support filthy, killer energy. In 2022, there were a total of 2,852 oil and gas drilling permits approved on federal lands The current administration has expanded those numbers especially in the gulf of Mexico. Remember, these lands are yours, not big oils. | |||
| Yes | Do you generally support gun-control legislation (e.g. red flag laws, boyfriend loopholes)? | ||
| In accordance with the over 200 year precedents repealed by Heller v DC by SCOTUS. Almost Everyone has a right to a firearm to defend their property. That should not include tanks, nuclear bombs or machine guns. Every gun order could operated their firearm more safely with classes and required insurance like we have on motor vehicles. Expand background checks. These simple, non intrusive to the second amendment rules would save tens of thousands of lives each year. No, they will not stop every suicide by gun, mass shooting or domestic violence shootings. Every life saved is a great thing. | |||
| Yes | Do you support a government-run (e.g. single-payer) healthcare program, such as Medicare-for-All? | ||
| Yes | Do you support expanding paid family AND/OR medical leave benefits (e.g. maternity leave)? | ||
| Yes | Should the government be able to regulate the cost of prescription drugs? | ||
| Lets include child care in the mix. Medicare and VA, both kind of government run programs, use around 2-3 % for administrative expense compared to up to 30% used by the convicted felon health insurance folks. Medicare is mostly privatized at this point with the mostly scam Medicare Advantage programs run by private parties. VA is becoming more privatized each day, so to call them government run programs is simply not accurate. | |||
| Yes | Do you support increasing security along the southern US border? | ||
| No | Do you support requiring immigrants to return to their country of origin before they are eligible for citizenship, regardless of their immigration status? | ||
| The parties, under the direction of a very conservative Senator named James Lankford, wrote a fantastic first step immigration policy that would have exponentially increases border guards and asylum judges. The convicted felon was successful in killing this bipartisan legislation. It is morally bankrupt to send Dreamers back to their country of origin when they have lived here their entire lives and many times do not even speak the language of the country their parents brought them from. To tear non citizen spouses away from their American citizen families is cruel and yet another example of the out of control moral bankruptcy of certain parties in the USA. | |||
| Yes | Do you support economic intervention as a means of resolving international conflicts? | ||
| Yes | Do you support the US providing increased offensive military aid to Ukraine? | ||
| No | Do you generally support increased regulations on social media companies (e.g. Tik Tok, Facebook, etc.)? | ||
| 1. Equality for all especially in the equality state. Whether that group is women, LGBTQ+ or folks of color. It does not cost a penny to treat everyone equally. 2. Feed the hungry, especially little kids. There is no moral explanation for children going to bed hungry in Wyoming or anywhere else. Currently fully funded yet many states including Wyoming refuse to accept back the federal taxes their populations pay in. Examples are Medicaid expansion and school lunches for all children. 3. Scrap the Cap, for starters. Eliminate the social security cap designed to enrich the rich and social security will be solvent to infinite at current beneficiary levels. This costs the American tax payer nothing. It is already funded and everyone else pays in the 6.2% except the rich and powerful. 4. Pass the social security fairness act. HR 82 in the US House and S597 in the Senate 5. Provide equal COLA's for both CSRS, PARA ad FERS annuitants. 6. Reel in the monopolies who are the real cause of inflationary pressures. No costs involved other than an administrative watch dog. The consumer finance protection bureau can accomplish this feat with their currently budgeted appropriations. Unlike the previous administration and republican congress (116th) who defunded the agency so the greedy could rip off every day Americans. 7. Elect Senators who are for equality for all, uninfringed health care rights and dignity for our most vulnerable demographics in liue of voting no on everything that helps normal Americans because your constituency is the rich and powerful who bloat your campaign coffers. |
