| We need to tackle affordability in Southwest Washington, especially for working families. A main issue of my campaign is increasing access to affordable childcare. I have been an champion for this issue, especially on working job sites, and will continue to do so. We must continue to invest in training the next generation of skilled workers in Southwest Washington. We have a lot of green infrastructure to build and I look forward to continuing to advocate for increased funding and capacity for Career Training Programs and Union Apprenticeships. We must do more to support working families. Southwest Washington is currently a childcare desert. I will do everything in my power to increase access to affordable quality childcare so that working families don't have to turn down overtime because they have no one to watch their kids. Finally we must support the replacement of the I-5 bridge! |
