| 1) The Environment- Florida?s waterways, reefs, and woods are central to our livelihood. Locally, I will fight for our communities against special interests like sugar, utilities, and phosphate mining companies. Unlike my opponent, I will vote to protect our waterways with my vote in Washington and I will not take money from any of the polluters hurting our community. 2) Reproductive Rights- Abortion is a tough thing to do, but ultimately politicians should not be making this decision for a woman. 3) Campaign Finance- When I first decided to run for office, I was told I shouldn?t because I?m not rich and I don?t have rich friends. Representatives should represent PEOPLE like you- not big money or party politics. The vast majority of Floridians fall somewhere in the middle politically and don?t want special interests dictating their representative. That?s why I pledge to refuse any money from Super PACs. |
