Some corporations and many of the wealthiest Americans are not paying their fair share of taxes. Since these are the entities that are able to make the most off of the nation's systems of government, laws, infrastructure, etc., they should have the greatest incentive to keep the engine running and in good shape.
Yes Do you support the regulation of indirect campaign contributions from corporations, unions, and individuals?
Unknown Position Do you support protecting government officials, including law enforcement officers, from personal liability in civil lawsuits concerning alleged misconduct?

Yes, when necessary to protect the nation and our allies, but I do not support spending when it is not necessary.

First and foremost, our democratic institutions must be protected and the rule of law applied to all no matter who or what power they possess. I want to protect Social Security by sunsetting the Trump tax giveaway and using the funds recouped to safeguard and sufficiently fund Social Security. These funds (trillions by the estimate of the Government Accounting Office) could also be used to expand clean environment programs and encourage green businesses. I want to codify Roe and pass the Equal Rights Amendment to prevent future discriminatory legislation. I want to pass an assault weapons ban and stricter red flag laws. I will support NATO, our allies, our military, and our vets. The rights of all citizen not to be discriminated against based on race, class, sex, religion, ethnicity, and gender identity must be recognized and the protection of these rights must be at the core of government policies, programs, and laws.
