| I stand firmly with working-class families, advocating for tax relief where it matters most?on hardworking Ohioans. At the same time, it's critical that we hold ultra-wealthy CEOs accountable, ensuring they pay their fair share. Blanket tax cuts or eliminations will only drain resources from essential services and harm those who need support the most. It?s about fairness, responsibility, and making sure Ohio works for everyone?not just the privileged few. | |||

| Im all for cutting red tape that stifles business growth, but we cant do it at the expense of workers, their rights, or our environment. I support smart, common-sense regulations that ensure our workers are protected, their safety is prioritized, and that companies operating in our communities are held to the highest standards of environmental responsibility. Its about balancing economic growth with the well-being of our people and the future of Ohio. | |||
| a) Do you support adopting federal education standards (e.g. Common Core) in Ohio? | |||

However, I firmly believe that our local teachers are the true experts in shaping many of those standards. They know firsthand what students need to succeed, and we must trust their insights. If were serious about raising standards, we must also commit to raising the pay for the teachers and staff responsible for implementing them day in and day out. Investing in our educators is the key to securing a stronger future for Ohios students. | |||

| Yes | a) Do you generally support gun-control legislation (e.g. red flag laws, closing the boyfriend loophole)? | ||
| Yes | b) Should background checks be required on gun sales between private citizens at gun shows? | ||
| Yes | c) Do you support the right to concealed carry in Ohio? | ||
| I believe in responsible gun ownership and strongly support the Second Amendment, as someone who grew up in a family where firearms were always present. However, commonsense gun reform is crucial to ensuring public safety. That means closing the gun show loophole, requiring background checks on all firearm purchases and transfers, implementing red flag laws to keep guns out of dangerous hands, and mandating proper training for concealed carry. These measures respect the rights of law-abiding gun owners while prioritizing the safety of our communities. | |||

| When it comes to my legislative priorities, I focus on practical solutions that address the most pressing issues facing the people of the 84th district and Ohio as a whole. Here are the key areas I plan to prioritize: 1. Education Reform: I am committed to fully funding public schools, ending the voucher system that diverts money from our public education system, and ensuring that technical education receives proper support. Teachers deserve competitive pay, pension protection, and mentorship programs to improve retention and performance. 2. Mental Health: As a "Mental Health Now" candidate, I will push for comprehensive mental health reform, advocating for increased access to mental health care, especially in rural areas, and ensuring proper support for both mental health professionals and patients. 3. Economic Justice: I support lowering taxes on working families while ensuring that the ultra-wealthy and corporations pay their fair share. Our budget should reflect the values of fairness and equity while ensuring the state can provide necessary services to all Ohioans. 4. Agricultural Support: I believe in listening to our farmers to shape effective farm policy that supports sustainable agriculture, protects Ohios farmland, and ensures our rural communities thrive. We need policies that respect rural values while boosting our local economies. 5. Voting Rights: Protecting and expanding the right to vote is central to my platform. I will fight for policies that make voting both simple and secure, ensuring that every eligible Ohioan can have their voice heard without unnecessary barriers. These priorities reflect my belief that government should work for the people by promoting fairness, protecting rights, and investing in communities. |
