Money in politics is disgusting considering the ways the excessive amounts could be spent to better society. There should be reasonable protection in limited circumstances codified into law, which makes clear what type of conduct is protected and what is not. Too many politicians, government officials, and law enforcement officers use "immunity" as permission to abuse their power and the law. Clarity is needed on what is within the scope of their job duties, and what rises to the level of protected conduct, and what is misconduct. | |||

| Our defense spending has been sufficiently increased over the years while everyday citizens within the country remain unprotected from domestic terrorists, are stuck in poverty, lack critical infrastructure to function in these times, and do not have access to affordable healthcare. We must balance our defense spending with the needs of the people who live within our borders. We are failing at this balance currently. We absolutely must increase the domestic spending on terrorist groups and terrorist acts by individuals within our borders. | |||

Experts (real experts) have opined to this, and the proof is in the results. We need to have a more effective tax system where the wealthiest individuals and corporations pay more in taxes to support the operations of our economy and its growth. We also need to go after corporations who are price gouging to take advantage of inflation, then passing those significant profits off to shareholders rather than reinvesting/reducing consumer prices. | |||

| The student loan debt and, more specifically, the cost of a college-level education is unaffordable and depressing the ability of people to get ahead in life, despite working hard and doing everything right. I support help from the federal government to correct this system, and would prefer to see a solution that involves reducing the accruing interest, which is often times burying people in the debt they owe, more than the debt itself. This could provide a path to repayment in a reasonable time frame. Debt forgiveness, in some small measure, is one start of a solution. | |||

The whole country deserves a nice planet on which to live. | |||

And it is high time to do something rather than pass around a narrative that a minority of the country supports. No one is trying to take your guns. But we can make this country safer and protect your right to have your guns. | |||

| As an immigration attorney, I see firsthand the plight of immigrants who are unlawfully present in our country, as well as though trying to enter at the southern border. We need to reform the entire immigration system, with the help of the Republican party, who needs to take action rather than put on a show about the security of the southern border, then fail to vote for legislation that provides additional support to the security at the southern border. We have a flawed system that is long overdue for reform. Let's get to that already. | |||
