Pro-choice Do you generally support pro-choice or pro-life legislation?
I despise abortion but most Americans agree that there is some viable reason for it. That decision, like all medical decisions, should be between a doctor and their patient. Same for vaccines, treatments, surgeries, and medications.
No Do you support expanding federal funding to support social safety net programs such as Social Security and Medicare?
No Do you support the regulation of indirect campaign contributions from corporations, unions, and individuals?
I generally do not support campaign contribution regulations as long as everything is entirely public. We should know who owns our representatives loyalties.
No Do you support the protection of government officials, including law enforcement officers, from personal liability in civil lawsuits concerning alleged misconduct?
If you violate a person's human rights you should be punished.
No Do you support increasing defense spending?
We spend enough. We need to have better oversight and stop wasting money on the forever wars.
No Do you support federal spending as a means of promoting economic growth?
No Do you support providing financial relief to businesses AND/OR corporations negatively impacted by the state of national emergency for COVID-19?
No Do you support the federal government taking action, beyond those of the Federal Reserve, to alleviate inflation?
The Federal government cannot take action to alleviate inflation. When it spends it drives inflation. The only action the government can take is lowering spending and paying down the debt.
No Do you support the forgiveness of federal student loan debt?
These policies will only drive inflation and increase the cost of higher education. It is a self defeating policy.
Yes Do you support requiring a government-issued identification in order to vote at the polls?
Only if the ID is provided at no cost to the voter through applying funds from non-tax revenue, such as fines or service fees. Otherwise it is a tax on a fundamental right.
No Do you support government funding for the development of renewable energy (e.g. solar, wind, geo-thermal)?
No Do you support the federal regulation of greenhouse gas emissions?
The market is far better at driving change. If the government chooses a "winner" in how to reduce emissions it will likely delay or destroy development of potentially better solutions.
No Do you generally support gun-control legislation?
Self defense is a human right.
No Do you support a government-run (single-payer) healthcare program, such as Medicare-for-All?
No Do you support expanding paid family AND/OR medical leave opportunities?
No Do you support lowering the cost of prescription drugs?
The only way to do this is to open the market by reducing overbearing regulation and allowing competition from trusted resources and countries.
No Do you support increasing security along the southern US border?
Yes Do you support requiring immigrants who are unlawfully present to return to their country of origin before they are eligible for citizenship?
No Do you support economic intervention as a means of resolving international conflicts?
Yes Do you support the U.S. providing increased offensive military aid to Ukraine?
This should be through expanded sales and access to high technology weapon systems, even with a delayed payment until after the war. Gifting these systems only drives inflation and is the same mistake we have made in countless countries over the last century.
No Do you support raising taxes, on any income or on any entity, to promote economic growth?
Only a fool thinks a country can tax itself into prosperity. This inevitably leads to inefficiency in the market, which will slow growth.
Yes Do you generally support removing barriers to international trade (for example: tariffs, quotas, etc.)?
I am, in general, a free trader. Open markets encourage cooperation and peace. I could be persuaded to tariff goods from countries which unfairly support businesses in order to make their own more profitable or which set punishing tariffs on our goods.
Reducing the scope of the federal government, and thereby it's size, budget, debt, and inflation. Bringing our servicemembers home from undeclared wars around the world. Rolling back overbearing federal regulation which reduces our freedom and prosperity.
