| Several oft my priorities are inter-related. The coming legalization of cannabis will provide significant revenue that should be reviewed periodically by the state, though I believe that the tax revenue should not be the first priority in that conversation. That said, this tax could be used for two purposes: reducing property taxes and, to a certain point, fixing the state pension fund. After the pension fund is adequately addressed, move to another item or increase funding for property tax relief. This would be done in conjunction with other proposals in HB13. |
