Oregon Congressional Election 2022 Political Courage Test

Pro-choice Do you generally support pro-choice or pro-life legislation?
I was faced with this very situation. My wife of 14 years had an affair while I was stationed at the Pentagon. She became preggers & wanted to abort. Her decision, ultimately, I asked her not to. Kyle is now 36 with a son of his own, now 10. As a children's author, perhaps I'm biased. Or maybe it was the way I was raised. My ex-wife's sister had 4 abortions in her 20's & that never sat well with me. Abortions effect generations. I returned to my Oregon roots to raise my three young sons as a single parent.
Yes In order to balance the budget, do you support an income tax increase on any tax bracket?
Yes Do you support expanding federal funding to support entitlement programs such as Social Security and Medicare?
In my book, America the Beautiful R?sum? to Serve, I designed a U.S. Treasury paradigm shift where states (not individual citizens) fund state & federal governments. I end ALL TAXES! (Income, property, sales, capital gains, inheirentence, etc.) The hard-working, middle-class will keep their entire paychecks. You can see more on the Brainstorming pages of my website: https://www.KodelParty.us (if you are so inclined).
Yes Do you support the regulation of indirect campaign contributions from corporations and unions?
Always follow the money.
No Do you support the protection of government officials, including law enforcement officers, from personal liability in civil lawsuits concerning alleged misconduct?
No one is above the law! I will also end diplomatic immunity. Bad behavior is a tenant of my book on crime & punishment. Consequences have actions. We need more hammers. Doesn't have to mean jail or prison necessarily. As a former president of a Parole/Clemency Board, it's imperative not to coddle criminals. Sympathy or empathy have no place in violent crimes, especially against women. I propose all manner of actions in my book. No one ought to have a mile-long rap sheet. Nobody ought to have two plus DUII's. Punishment must & can serve as a deterrent.
No Do you support increasing defense spending?
The Wastebook, mentioned in my book, reveals too many gov't programs that simply waste taxpayer's money. Span of control as well as, pet projects & programs, self-serving agendas, & undetected fraud runs rampant within our federal gov't. Billions are lost to waste, fraud & abuse. Moreover, Congress spends trillions to prop-up foreign regimes. Imagine where our downtowns of our hometowns would be had those trillions been invested over the years in "America the Beautiful" instead! It's not about increasing budgets or expenditure, it's about fiduciary fiscal management!
No Do you support federal spending as a means of promoting economic growth?
No Do you support lowering corporate taxes as a means of promoting economic growth?
No Do you support providing financial relief to businesses AND/OR corporations negatively impacted by the state of national emergency for COVID-19?
No Do you support requiring states to adopt federal education standards?
No Do you support government funding for the development of renewable energy (e.g. solar, wind, geo-thermal)?
Yes Do you support the federal regulation of greenhouse gas emissions?
Yes Do you generally support gun-control legislation?
Congress is looking at gun control & gun rights [within] the box. It's going to take "outside" the box thinking to solve this epidemic! First off, a [gun] is no more responsible for murder & mayhem than a [pencil] is for misspellings!! We simply MUST address human behavior. Whatever it takes. Moreover, advocates of the 2nd Amendment have morphed the true intent & purpose of the Amendment. We are a civilized nation. We need to act as such. No one ought to be permitted to mount a Gatlin gun on their front porch, despite what the 2nd says!
No Do you support repealing the 2010 Affordable Care Act ("Obamacare")?
No Do you support requiring businesses to provide paid medical leave during public health crises, such as COVID-19?
Federal gov't must pay any associated costs of their mandates, not business owners. I do NOT believe in [mandates] or spoonfeeding ADULTS! Federal government's responsibility is to offer empirical scientific data, suggestions, recommendations, assistance, aid, etc., and ... wait for it ... consequences of possible outcomes, say in a pandemic. Once all of this is provided, it's up to personal responsibility.
No Do you support the construction of a wall along the Mexican border?
No Do you support requiring immigrants who are unlawfully present to return to their country of origin before they are eligible for citizenship?
Firstly, a border wall is highly ignorant. It's wasteful, costly & ineffective. Its stupid! Based in fear & bigotry. Building a wall is [inside the box] thinking! It's NOT innovative. It's wholly impractical. In my book, America the Beautiful Rsum to Serve, my idea of "Reverse Migration" is [OUTSIDE the box] thinking with far better, cost effective, longterm results. You can also read about this and many other innovative plans I have on my website: https://www.KodelParty.us.
Yes Should the United States use military force to prevent governments hostile to the U.S. from possessing a weapon of mass destruction (for example: nuclear, biological, chemical)?
Yes Do you support reducing military intervention in Middle East conflicts?
No Do you generally support removing barriers to international trade (for example: tariffs, quotas, etc.)?
Quotas are far better than tariffs in balancing trade. Tariffs only raise prices for the consumer. We must receive fair trade. There is a huge imbalance. USA exporters deserve entry into any country we trade with. We are much too dependent on China. I would leverage our trade & debt with them to address & solve human rights' issues, spycraft, stolen technologies, aggression, etc., to bring them in line. I would bring USA companies doing business abroad back to "America the Beautiful" with the aforementioned paradigm shift. [Companies will no longer pay taxes.] Their return will provide 50M new jobs!
And that's the problem with this question! The purpose of [representation] has morphed. I do NOT have an agenda. My sole purpose is to SERVE! Country first. Then Constituents. Then Party. Then Myself. There is no wiggle room here. You send me to Congress to advocate for those matters important to you! As a Keynote listener, you have my ear.
