| My goal is to reduce the number of abortions and simply banning them won't work. We need to address the reason women are seeking abortion with comprehensive sexual health education, accessible and affordable contraception, increased education and funding for adoption, and support systems for those who choose to keep the child like affordable child care, education and job training, etc. The government has an interest in protecting life, but we need to trust and equip women to make ethical decisions that are best for their health and well-being. Government should not dictate women's healthcare decisions. | |||

| I don't believe that the answer lies in just increasing taxes or just reducing state employee salaries/benefits. As a business owner, when I need to balance my budget, I look at both. How can I reduce my expenses and supplement my income? We do need to ensure that the wealthiest individuals and corporations are paying their fair share, and we can trim fat where we find it in state expenditures, but we can also look to generate new revenue sources and streamline procedures or departments where we see waste, excess, or redundancy. | |||

Early release could be an option for those convicted of violent crimes again, after an evaluation to determine if they constitute an ongoing threat, have mental health issues that can be addressed, etc. Private prisons should be allowed only if there are strict regulations to ensure the appropriate and humane treatment of prisoners. | |||

I do support reducing some regulations, but also believe that regulations help encourage the private sector to act in the best interest of the people. I would like to see a cut off when requiring employers to provide paid family leave, large corporations can afford it whereas small business may not. The minimum wage is not a living wage and if anything, covid has proven that those minimum wage jobs are some of the most essential. | |||

| It is in all of our best interests to preserve the integrity of our world. Some regulations are necessary as businesses are in place to make profits, but regulations can't go to the extreme and reduce jobs. We can find that balance. | |||

| I support the 2nd amendment, but do believe that some checks and balances make sense. I do a national background check when renting out apartments I own, to protect my property, why would we not do them to protect lives? With technology these days, they can be done quickly and efficiently if a national system were implemented. We have a license to drive a car, why not to own a weapon? But, the licensing process needs to ensure accessibility and not have overly burdensome steps to complete. I do not support bans on certain types of weapons. | |||

But the idea of a mandate is clearly up for debate. Medical decisions are best made by the people they effect. Businesses should provide paid medical leave but there should be a cutoff for smaller businesses that aren't able to do so. | |||
