What is the Political Courage Test?

Louisiana Congressional Election 2020 Political Courage Test

Pro-life Do you generally support pro-choice or pro-life legislation?
No In order to balance the budget, do you support an income tax increase on any tax bracket?
No Do you support expanding federal funding to support entitlement programs such as Social Security and Medicare?
I wouldn't necessarily call Social Security an entitlement program. But I do believe I should not be forced to pay for a Government backed retirement. I would be better served choosing what to do with my own money.
Yes Do you support the regulation of indirect campaign contributions from corporations and unions?
You should not be able to buy support.
No Do you support the protection of government officials, including law enforcement officers, from personal liability in civil lawsuits concerning alleged misconduct?
If an officer is found guilty by a jury of their peers of inappropriate actions and misconduct, not because a social justice warrior cries out loudly.
No Do you support increasing defense spending?
We have to stop spending. We shouldn't look at the defense budget as the first place to cut, but we should cut other areas to appropriate funds for defense.
No Do you support federal spending as a means of promoting economic growth?
Yes Do you support lowering corporate taxes as a means of promoting economic growth?
Yes Do you support providing financial relief to businesses AND/OR corporations negatively impacted by the state of national emergency for COVID-19?
The government should be held accountable for the mess they created. States that forced economic shutdowns should have to find the funds in their budgets to repay it.
No Do you support requiring states to adopt federal education standards?
No Do you support government funding for the development of renewable energy (e.g. solar, wind, geo-thermal)?
No Do you support the federal regulation of greenhouse gas emissions?
No Do you generally support gun-control legislation?
Yes Do you support repealing the 2010 Affordable Care Act ("Obamacare")?
No Do you support requiring businesses to provide paid medical leave during public health crises, such as COVID-19?
Yes Do you support the construction of a wall along the Mexican border?
Yes Do you support requiring immigrants who are unlawfully present to return to their country of origin before they are eligible for citizenship?
No Should the United States use military force to prevent governments hostile to the U.S. from possessing a weapon of mass destruction (for example: nuclear, biological, chemical)?
Yes Do you support reducing military intervention in Middle East conflicts?
Yes Do you generally support removing barriers to international trade (for example: tariffs, quotas, etc.)?
My top priority is the preservation of individual liberty and reinstating constitutional principles. Our medical freedom is on the verge of being stripped away. Lawmakers are calling for mandatory vaccination, federal contact tracing, and immune registries. Making any virus a reason for the government to constantly monitor you. Secondly, I would seek to give the power of education back to the local school districts. Our area teachers and school board members should be accountable to the parents of the children they have been asked to educate. The department of Education has failed us and it's time to change it.
