I am against making abortions illegal or difficult to access as that only denies abortions to poor women. Rich men's wives, daughters and girlfriends still have access to abortions which is wrong! If we increase access to adequate birth control and reproductive education we will decrease the need for abortion services. We no longer need to go forth and populate the earth. | My second priority is to get the money out of our politics. Our elected representatives need to be drawn from our voting public with people who want to serve, not people who have been purchased by large corporations in order to do their bidding against what will benefit the majority of people and our earth. | |||
| If elected, my first priority would be to reintroduce SB522 that would create the Whole Washington Healthcare Trust and provide every resident of Washington comprehensive, single payer health insurance publicly funded and privately delivered. Once 51% of the state's residents are enrolled we will make it a mandatory program. This health plan will save our state an estimated 9 billion dollars a year over what we all currently pay for our healthcare needs (pre COVID-19). Post COVID, I see it as the only way for our state to come out of this pandemic with an intact healthcare system. |
