Connecticut Congressional Election 2020 Political Courage Test

Pro-choice Do you generally support pro-choice or pro-life legislation?
Personally, for myself, I am pro-life. None the less, I support a woman's right to choose. I do not support late term or post birth abortions. I also feel the law for abortion has been enacted.
No In order to balance the budget, do you support an income tax increase on any tax bracket?
No Do you support expanding federal funding to support entitlement programs such as Social Security and Medicare?
I do not believe they need more funding currently. while they are vitally important, I support these programs as is. I advocate for elimination of waste, lower cost prescriptions, and innovation around these programs to mainting funding levels. I do not support eliminating nor reducing the benefits to citizens.
Yes Do you support the regulation of indirect campaign contributions from corporations and unions?
Yes Do you support the protection of government officials, including law enforcement officers, from personal liability in civil lawsuits concerning alleged misconduct?
I support first responders, public safety, and am endorsed by the fraternal order of police.
No Do you support increasing defense spending?
I believe at this point we have successfully re-built our vital defense
Yes Do you support federal spending as a means of promoting economic growth?
Yes Do you support lowering corporate taxes as a means of promoting economic growth?
Yes Do you support providing financial relief to businesses AND/OR corporations negatively impacted by the state of national emergency for COVID-19?
As long s Covid relief is responsibly doled out
No Do you support requiring states to adopt federal education standards?
Let the states decide, and teachers teach
No Do you support government funding for the development of renewable energy (e.g. solar, wind, geo-thermal)?
No Do you support the federal regulation of greenhouse gas emissions?
I believe in supporting entrepreneurs who will have better solutions, and the consumers who will purchase.
No Do you generally support gun-control legislation?
I support the 2n Amendment, with the exception of automatic weapons.
Yes Do you support repealing the 2010 Affordable Care Act ("Obamacare")?
No Do you support requiring businesses to provide paid medical leave during public health crises, such as COVID-19?
Too many small businesses, that employ 60% of our population, have failed during Covid. There is no rhyme or reason as to why big box stores are open and small businesses are ot. The affordable care act took away many people's healthcare. I do support insurance with pre-existing conditions.
Yes Do you support the construction of a wall along the Mexican border?
Yes Do you support requiring immigrants who are unlawfully present to return to their country of origin before they are eligible for citizenship?
We need common sense immigration policy. Congress has failed to act. I support secure borders.
No Should the United States use military force to prevent governments hostile to the U.S. from possessing a weapon of mass destruction (for example: nuclear, biological, chemical)?
Yes Do you support reducing military intervention in Middle East conflicts?
I support diplomacy first, but we must remain vigilant against threats.
No Do you generally support removing barriers to international trade (for example: tariffs, quotas, etc.)?
The US has had a trade imbalance for far too long, and our critical patents and engineering have been stolen
