| The ultra rich received a $1.5 trillion tax cut under this administration. The tax decreases on the wealthy must be rescinded so that taxation is more equitable in our country. Tax brackets and loopholes need to be reassessed. People and employers pay into the Social Security System. Social Security is essential to the well being of retirees, disabled, and minors whose parent(s) are deceased. Minimum Social Security should be increased according to income level. No one who is reliant on Social Security need to live in poverty: without nutritious meals, safe housing, lack utilities, be denied access to proper healthcare. | |||

| Citizens United must be repealed! Elections are for the people to determine who will represent them in our government. Elections must not be determined by large corporations, special interest groups, and the 1% or 2% of people. Grassroots campaign contributions must be the norm. A government by and for the people is our number one priority. Unions represent people who come together to protect their profession. We must be sure that the unions represent members and do not become a tool for a few who feed off hard working Americans. The Federal of Police Union needs special investigation. | |||

Our military standing in the world is important but, we need a better accounting of defense spending. | |||

| It is past time to implement an expansive federal infrastructure program. A new infrastructure program would include but is not limited to roads, bridges, dams, and broadband. Employment would grow tremendously...more people would be paying into payroll taxes. Corporate tax structure must be revamped. Too many large corporations pay little to no taxes. Some companies continued to increase executive pay and their stocks continued to grow. Meanwhile, many of those same companies laid off employees. More rules and oversight is essential. Small businesses must be given financial relief - again with fewer loopholes and more oversight. | |||

While local input is important, politics, religion, a lack of equal distribution of education funding is destroying opportunity and our country. We need to teach cutting edge science and math while creating a balance of liberal arts, history, and government. A review of education courses which prepare educators needs to be addressed. Access to trade school as well as college need to be addressed in urban and rural areas. There is so much that needs to be accomplished. | |||

Government funding must be a component in the development of renewable energy. Support of industries and entrepreneurs to compete for earlier resolution is key. We are a nation of innovators so there is no doubt we can rise to the occasion. The same is true with curbing greenhouse gas emissions. Some people refuse to acknowledge the science and it will take federal regulations. | |||

| As a Moms Demand Action volunteer I fully support common sense gun legislation. I support the 2nd amendment but, we cannot have the highest number of gun deaths among developed nations. We can greatly reduce victims with laws mandating all gun sales be through licensed dealers. All buyers must be approved after thorough background checks. AK-47s and AR-15s must be outlawed. They are designed to kill people, period. My father, career military, taught me to use guns with precision from the time I was in elementary school. Gun owners must be trained how to care, store, and use guns. | |||

| Paid medical leave is a must during this and any future public health crises. While some businesses can continue business through work at home programs there are many which cannot. In either case, large corporations should be able to fund their own medical leave programs. Underwriting medical leave is a sound business practice. Small businesses will need help from the federal government to save employees from the threat of being evicted, losing utilities, going hungry, and more. | |||

| No, I do not support the wall. It is a wasteful, racist blemish: encroaching on indigenous peoples land, destroying areas and endangered species habitats. People can come through in a variety of ways and is thus ineffective. We do need to revamp our immigration laws. Having stated that, we must remember that we are a nation of immigrants. Those who are proven violent criminals should immediately be returned to their country of origin. We need immigrants to refuel our country and to do work citizens will not do. We face serious problems without Latinx helping in our farming communities. | |||

| I firmly believe we should use every form of diplomacy and international pressure before we use military force. In this day and age it would be too easy for military force to escalate into planet wide destruction. We should carefully withdraw from the Middle East. Our initial presence in the Mid-East was based on oil access and profit. Our interference created power vacuums which resulted in regimes that were anti-American and/or detrimental to the people living in those countries. As a result anti-American sentiment and terrorism grew exponentially and will continue to be a threat. | |||

We must have balance and protection for our industries, therefore, we sometimes we sometimes need to use tariffs, quotas, and in some cases bar trade from and with certain countries on some items for leverage. We must use these tools judicially without the influence of individuals for personal gain. | |||
| 1. Universal healthcare is something we should have done decades ago. We design a system where those who can pay into the healthcare system should. Others should not suffer in our great country because they cannot pay. 2. Income equity can be achieved by legislating minimum living wage: approximately $25.00 an hour. Some corporations can afford to pay this wage: the remainder would come from the tax increase on the top 2%. Social equity must be legislated immediately and simultaneously include an education campaign in and out of schools. 3. Campaign finance reform must be legislated and enforced by DOJ. |
