A vast bipartisan majority of Americans agree that we need sensible gun laws that create real safety throughout our homes, schools, and neighborhoods without infringing on our Constitutional rights. Requiring a gun safety education, storage, and a license in order to own a gun is the first step. We should also enact extreme risk / red flag laws, conduct strong background checks, disarm domestic abusers, encourage the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) to research gun deaths and injuries in the same way it researches other health issues in order to find workable solutions.

We should stop criminalizing and splitting up families seeking asylum. Immigration and Foreign policy are intertwined. Foreign policies should focus on strategic investments in diplomacy and development to build a better, safer world through environmental integrity, strengthening education opportunities, and stabilization of economies.

My top priority is environmental justice. But we can't talk about the environment without talking about healthcare. And we can't talk about healthcare without talking about the economy, workers' rights, the wage gap, and good jobs. Finally, we can't talk about the economy without talking about education. It's all connected. We can't address one without the other and we can't fix one without fixing them all. Top to bottom reform can be funded by making sure the wealthy pay their fair share and by reallocating funds from the defense budget to other programs.
