| My top priority in 2020 is helping our economy recover by attracting quality careers to Indiana House District 9. I want to improve our infrastructure and make District 9 modern, safe, and a regional leader. Far too many quality careers are going outside our District despite our ideal location and incentives. I want to provide a voice for the rural and marginalized communities that feel ignored by our government. I've spoken to many residents that don't feel as if they are listened to. I want to change that. | |||
| My top legislative priority is improving the pay of home health care workers. There's a huge conversation to be had about this because it is a deep subject but the short version is that the home health care industry is on the verge of ruin. Providers are poorly paid and poorly trained. There is not enough protection for seniors and developmentally disabled clients. I want to make this a viable career path that will pay these hard-working women and men a living wage and also protect the most vulnerable among us by adding accountability. Funding comes by eliminating waste. |
