For those that won't read the position, I am against the practice of abortion and would pursue a legislation strategy that works to combat abortion practices. It needs to stay that way if we hope to maintain peace-time through deterrence. I am fully supportive of our military, but do recognize that if we spend more on military, we need to cut out the pork spending designed to reward the military industrial complex. No more sweetheart deals for mega-wealthy defense contractors. We need innovation, not more corruption. | |||

| The corporate tax code needs an overhaul. We should have very very low tax rates, but with little to no corporate deductions available. We need to stop the corrupt use of offshore accounts and incentivize the repatriation of money held overseas. | |||

The federal government has used its control of schools to indoctrinate students with a Leftist worldview, it has caused socialism to regain prominence, and our society to begin fracturing at the seams. If that is the result of federal education standards then we ought do away with them entirely. Conversely we could do away with the staff in those departments and replace them with officials who seek to fix our education system, AND who understand how it was broken in the first place. | |||

| I support the government trying to develop renewable energy sources, but I don't believe our efforts should be in silly, lackluster forms of energy like wind. We ought divert our renewable energy research spending into areas that can actually work, and actually represent innovation. Sources like Nuclear Fusion, hydro-electric, and Geo-thermal all have promising potential far beyond that of wind power. Geo-thermal and hydro-electric power are more of a localized solution to specific energy needs in specific places. Fusion is the future, and that is what we should be working on. | |||

| We can and should create a healthcare system that actually works, that doesn't include the heavy hand of government. We need pricing to come down dramatically. We need the market to be corrected and stabilized so that Americans can afford the care they need without damaging other sub-sectors of the economy, which is exactly what happens in a system where medical bills take priority over other spending in family budgets. Big doctor bills mean going out less, which leads to lower tips and less business for the service industry, which leads to declining economic returns. | |||

| It matters how and why someone is here unlawfully. A VISA overstay that is otherwise qualified to become a citizen should not be forced to leave just to come back. Criminal aliens that have committed violent crimes should be deported and not permitted reentry. People who simply cross unlawfully should have to go back to their home country and re-apply for citizenship. We need to reform our immigration law from scratch. We need to toss out the old legislation and write a new law that fixes all of our immigration issues. Build the wall THEN reform the law. | |||

If we have to go in to stop a tyrant, we ought not stay after our mission is complete. We should stop nation building and turn our focus to making America better and stronger. | |||

| My trade stance is 'free trade or no trade'. This is a more progressed version of the America First trade policy. If our trading partners are not engaging in free trade with the United States, then the United States should not see that nation as a fit trading partner. However in the interest of pragmatism, I would say that we should only ever engage in reciprocal trade. I would only ever act in the best interest of Ohio's 9th District if elected to Congress. That means advocating for trade policies that benefit the people of Ohio's 9th district. | |||
| 1.) I would draft a proposal to the States to amend the US Constitution to provide for term limits on members of congress. We need to get these career politicians out of office and prevent their prevalence in the future. 2.) I would seek to remove congressional immunity from insider trading laws, forcing members of congress to live by the same laws they impose on all other citizens. Taking away one major piece of congressional corruption for good. 3.) Investigate the origins of the impeachment attempt and the conduct of Adam Schiff. |
