Medical debt is the main source of personal bankruptcy in the United States and most of those declaring bankruptcy have insurance. With ridiculous deductibles and outrageous monthly fees, health insurance offers little to those receiving it and largely lines the pockets of insurance companies. M4A would mean that everyone could receive necessary medical care. It does not preclude the possibility of supplemental private insurance for non-essential care. | |||
