| I take issue with the dichotomous responses to questions because many are not a "yes" or "no" answer. The question about adopting federal education standards illustrates the grey. When MN adopted language arts Common Core, we didn't adopt math and science because the state had recently completed a rigorous revision and implementation to new standards. So, one could say "yes, I support adopting federal education standards;" however, current affairs will shape what that looks like. Unfortunately, finger pointers would say, "You said you support this, yet, you voted against it." These issues are not cut and dry. | |||
