| Our country needs a balanced budget, and they need to follow that budget. We need to get rid of frivolous spending while keeping our military strong. In order for a business to survive they have to follow their budget and make sure that they do not spend more than they take in. It is time that our government quits spending more than they take in. Our children are going to be stuck with a huge debt load that they will struggle with if we do not change our attitude now and start paying it off. | |||

Any federal spending would have to be within budget and not put a further burden on our children and grand-children. When reducing taxes, much caution would have to be exercised to make sure that our government would be able to stay in budget, with any potential gains in economic growth greatly compensating for any potential short-term loss. | |||

| Good fences make good neighbors. The wall will define where the US border is, and we must defend our borders. There is a process for legal immigration and it must be followed. Unfortunately our nation has not been diligent on enforcing our borders and illegal immigration has occurred. The monetary cost to kick all illegal immigrants out of our country would be astronomical. Instead we need to get them registered, allow them to pay taxes, and require that they legally become citizens within a certain period of time or they will be removed. | |||
