Primarily, this is because different religions have opposing views on what happens when the life of the mother is endangered by a pregnancy, i.e. While Judaism is extremely strong on protecting the sanctity of life, the existing (already born) life of the mother takes precedence over the life of the unborn child. I believe that government involvement violates the 1st Amendment protections of Freedom of Religion. | |||

| I will defend Social Security and Medicare. It is an important safety net for our Senior Citizens, people living with disabilities, and our widows and orphans - our most vulnerable citizens. But I believe that we need take strong action to make it self sustainable and protect it for future generations, while also taking action to ensure that it keeps up with the cost of living for those most vulnerable citizens. | |||

This was not a crisis of anyone's making. The economy was strong when this started and we must take necessary actions to ensure a strong recovery. | |||

I also support a keeping control of schools local as to the maximum extent possible, especially as it pertains to setting education standards. However, it is critical that we ensure that we are not doing more harm than good to the environment by addressing the full life cycle from mining/sourcing to disposal. | |||

| I am a strong supporter of the 2nd Amendment. I do believe that there is potential for legislation that would better keep firearms out of the hands of violent criminals and the mentally ill. I also support reducing the connection between health insurance and employment so that insurance is as affordable for private individuals as groups because changing or losing your job shouldn't require changing insurance. Businesses should be free to use paid medical leave programs to compete for talent rather than having them government mandated. | |||

I support an approach to immigration that improves fair and equitable access to those who want to pursue the American Dream and contribute to American Society while decisively confronting violent criminals, smugglers, and traffickers. | |||

We must guard against overextending our military and becoming the "world's police" while proactively preventing attacks on the United States. This includes preventing hostile governments from possessing Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD). | |||

| I am not opposed to international trade but support efforts to ensure that international trade is fair and equitable. This is better for the environment, because U.S. manufacturing is more environmentally friendly and also helps protect U.S. jobs and our economy. The Covid-19 pandemic has shown many of the dangers of over-reliance on off shoring and foreign manufacturing. We must act decisively to restore and support U.S. manufacturing capability. | |||
| One of my top priorities when elected is keeping our promises to our Veterans, including addressing dysfunction within the Veterans' Disability System, Health Care System, and Veteran Owned Business Certification. I will also fight to defend Social Security and keep it sustainable for future generations. |
