| I generally support Pro-Life legislation. As a man of faith, there is no greater value than that of the unborn child. It is our obligation to protect the rights of the most vulnerable in our community, which includes those in a mother's womb. Only in circumstances of rape, incest, or the life of the mother would I consider ending one life to save another. Once a heartbeat is detected, human life should be protected as with any other life. We should be providing programs and services to help mothers during the pregnancy and once their baby is born. | |||

| Social Security and Medicare are two vital programs that we should continue supporting and expanding. These are our safety nets in our society to provide for the needs of those who aren't able to in their retirement age. This should not mean we provide for those who can and should. We, also, need to properly identify, but not penalize, those who can work later into their later years, a system to allow them to work without cutting off benefits. We need to stop borrowing from Social Security to pay for unfunded, underfunded, and wasteful programs. | |||

| Regulating indirect campaign contributions is vital to understand where the money is coming from. Although the 1st Amendment allows for freedom of speech, without limitation, the public should be able to see where and who is supporting the ideas being expressed when it comes to politics. If we don't provide protection, we lose out on having ethical and principled people run for office or join our law enforcement. Should someone be protected from criminal or civil liability entirely? No. All officials should still be personally accountable for misconduct and/or breaking the law when it can be found that they have committed such acts above and beyond their responsibilities of being a government official. Everyone should be held accountable for their actions. | |||

We should be providing financial relief to those who can show that the pandemic was the main contributor to their losses. Relief can be generated in ways like tax incentives, small business loans, and grants. | |||

| Mother Nature is a cyclical environment. We are responsible to keep a healthy environment for future generations. Our country already has a highly regulated energy structure. I don't believe the government should be subsidizing the development of any renewable energy. American ingenuity and creativity are the foundation for free enterprise. We should let the free market determine our future renewable energy sources. The American people have already paid the bills for companies such as ECOtality, Solyndra, About Solar, Fisker Automative which lost 853 million dollars of tax payer's money. | |||

| I support background checks to prevent felons from purchasing guns. Enforcing existing gun laws would be a big step to cracking down on criminal activity involving guns. Increasing the penalties on crimes where the use of a firearms is used could deter crimes. Why should law abiding citizens be penalized and lose their 2nd Amendment rights because criminals are not responsible law abiding citizens? | |||

The choice to keep your doctor and to have a robust medical system are vital to better medical outcomes. Requiring businesses to provide paid medical leave only increases the cost of doing business and becomes an obstacle in free market principles. | |||

| We need people to enter this country legally. This allows us to determine the difference between someone who wants to come here for legitimate reasons and those who want to cause us harm. A wall forces those who want to enter to go through designated entry points into our country. Comprehensive Immigration Reform will be one of my main focuses when going to Congress. | |||

| If it is an unstable country that will not work with other countries for peace then yes. These unstable countries are a threat to the world and not just to the U.S. I do support reducing our military in the Middle East as long as the regions are stable and able to function militarily on their own. I don't want our troops to return home just to leave the citizens of those regions fall prey to the enemy again. We want to make sure they are stable first. | |||

| Our country's jobs and economic stability needs to be a priority. We want to make sure we are on an even playing field when competing with other countries. American jobs and businesses come first. It is hard to compete in the global market when you are having to compete with countries whose labor costs are multiple times lower and don't treat their citizens humanely. This is the reason why we add tariffs to imports so our goods are not under cut by the lower costs of the product. | |||
| Immigration Balance Budget Term Limits None of these priorities would require additional fundings. In fact, they should reduce the overall cost. I would like to see a more efficient process for immigration. Reform that is good for American workers and businesses. I would like to work towards a balance budget amendment. We need to bring our expenses in line with our revenues. We can start with zero based budgeting. In regards to term limits, when over 80% of Americans want term limits, it is the duty of Congress to listen and follow through with the will of the people. |
