What is the Political Courage Test?

New York Congressional Election 2018 Political Courage Test

Pro-life Do you generally support pro-choice or pro-life legislation?
No In order to balance the budget, do you support an income tax increase on any tax bracket?
No In order to balance the budget, do you support reducing defense spending?
Yes Do you support the regulation of indirect campaign contributions from corporations and unions?
No Do you support federal spending as a means of promoting economic growth?
Yes Do you support lowering corporate taxes as a means of promoting economic growth?
No Do you support requiring states to adopt federal education standards?
Yes Do you support government funding for the development of renewable energy (e.g. solar, wind, thermal)?
Unknown Position Do you support the federal regulation of greenhouse gas emissions?
I see that other countries are much greater offenders than the United States.
No Do you generally support gun-control legislation?
I believe that people should know gun safety and know how to operate a gun before possessing one. I also don't want to see guns in the hands of the mentally incompetent. But general ubiquitous 'gun control'?: No.
Yes Do you support repealing the 2010 Affordable Care Act ("Obamacare")?
Obamacare is unconstitutional - we have other means.
Yes Do you support requiring immigrants who are unlawfully present to return to their country of origin before they are eligible for citizenship?
Yes Do you support the construction of a wall along the Mexican border?
I believe illegal immigrants should go through the process of becoming legal like my father had as well as so many others. Being a good and productive citizen starts with following our laws. If a wall can be built without too much expense then I would vote for its construction. I do believe in increased security to keep criminals out as well as those not willing to go through our legal process.
Yes Do you support the legalization of marijuana for recreational purposes?
Yes, I am for legalization. However if private industry requires that their employees do not consume, then, they should be able to do that as well. I'd like to know that law enforcement would be able to detect and regulate what is acceptable behind the wheel a motor vehicle as well. (Such as with alcohol consumption)
Yes Should the United States use military force in order to prevent governments hostile to the U.S. from possessing a nuclear weapon?
Unknown Position Do you support increased American intervention in Middle Eastern conflicts beyond air support?
Yes, if necessary, we should intervene. The people of the United States must be protected from harm. This is the duty of the federal government, to keep its citizens safe. If ANY country should pose a threat, they should know that we will answer to keep our country and our people safe.
