| I believe in the proposition of peace through strength. The armed forces of the U.S. is the greatest military power in the world. We need to properly fund our men and women in the military so that they can do their jobs properly and with favorable conditions. Only through a strong military, which is cautiously used only when necessary (but with full force when used) can the U.S. be a proper deterrent to worldwide hostilities. With the growing technology age, including space, the U.S must be at the forefront to maintain military superiority over hostile nations. | |||

| I am a firm believer that a limited federal government is the best solution. Our Founding Fathers explicitly spelled out the role for a very limited federal government in the Constitution and clearly intended for states to self-regulate themselves in most instances. Individual states are in a better position than the federal government to know and understand the issues that are unique to each state and its local governments. In this case, education is an example where individual states are in a better position to decide specific requirements. | |||

| Regarding the issue of current illegal immigrants and eligibility to become citizens, I do not support a mandatory deportation before being considered for citizenship. However, I do not those current illegal immigrants should be in any way whatsoever granted special consideration for citizenship. Their applications should be reviewed just like anyone else's (i.e., just because an alien is here does not mean that they will automatically be granted citizenship). The government also has a right and duty to deport any illegals that it feels is a danger or threat. | |||

A perfect example is China where for years the U.S. has subsidized and assisted in China growing its economy. This unfair balance is no longer needed (especially with countries like China that have state-owned corporations). | |||

I will promote and advocate for laws that protect life, including protecting the life and requiring medical care be provided to infants who were born during an unsuccessful abortion attempt.
