I have been an educator for more than four decades, teaching people of all ages, and all walks of life. I know what we need to make education a priority for legislators, community leaders, teachers, and students. I do not believe in asking our teachers to "teach to the test," but I am in full support of national standards for student nutrition, safety, teacher training and better support for students in low income school districts.
