| I believe the best way to balance our budget is by cutting spending and reducing regulation. This will spur economic growth and attract more businesses to Texas, resulting in a larger taxing base. While I am not in favor of instituting mandatory layoffs, if the time comes when layoffs are necessary to meet budget requirements I feel that is an appropriate option. | |||

We need a way to document when people have been rehabilitated and are good employment and renter candidates as this is essential to reducing recidivism. Presently there is no separation of hardcore criminals versus relatively good kids who have made mistakes and are ready to live as responsible citizens. | |||

I would like to make it possible for students to get credit for apprenticeships in needed skilled trades. 3) District 149 is very diverse and I want to represent all the people in the district. I plan to bring active leadership to the House and make sure my constituents are heard. |
