North Carolina Congressional Election 2016 Political Courage Test

Pro-life Do you generally support pro-choice or pro-life legislation?
Life begins at conception and I will do everything possible to preserve life in unborn babies.
No In order to balance the budget, do you support reducing defense spending?
No In order to balance the budget, do you support an income tax increase on any tax bracket?
Why are we talking about reducing defense spending and increasing taxes when we still have an unsecure border. The path to fixing the deficit is to cut spending, stop spending money on illegals that shouldn't be here, and have a Constitutional Amendment to balance the budget.
Yes Do you support the regulation of indirect campaign contributions from corporations and unions?
Yes. We need drastic campaign finance reform. DRASTIC!!!!!
Yes Do you support capital punishment for certain crimes?
Yes Do you support alternatives to incarceration for certain non-violent offenders such as mandatory counseling or substance abuse treatment?
Yes Do you support mandatory minimum sentences for non-violent drug offenders?
I do believe that the criminal justice sentencing structures on non-violent drug offenses needs to evaluated and modified.
No Do you support federal spending as a means of promoting economic growth?
Yes Do you support lowering taxes as a means of promoting economic growth?
No Do you support providing tax incentives to businesses for the purpose of job creation?
No Do you support requiring states to implement education reforms in order to be eligible for competitive federal grants?
The Federal government needs to get out of education in every capacity. It is a parent, local, and at most a states issue.
Yes Do you support building the Keystone XL pipeline?
No Do you support funding for the development of renewable energy (e.g. solar, wind, thermal)?
Yes Do you support increased regulations on the hydraulic fracturing ("fracking") industry?
No Do you believe that human activity is contributing to climate change?
No Do you support the federal regulation of greenhouse gas emissions?
No Do you generally support gun-control legislation?
I DO NOT support gun-control legislation in any capacity. I believe in the 2nd Amendment.
Yes Do you support repealing the 2010 Affordable Care Act ("Obamacare")?
Obamacare is the biggest full-time job killer that exists. It has deteriorated our healthcare in so many areas and must be repealed.
Yes Do you support requiring illegal immigrants to return to their country of origin before they are eligible for citizenship?
I have a great plan for fixing our immigration program. Deport all felons first, then other criminals, and finally illegals on government assistance. I have no problem with issuing work permits to those here illegally so long as they aren't breaking the law or sponging of the American taxpayer. If you want to become a citizen then that paperwork should begin in your country of origin and not here.
No Do you support same-sex marriage?
I have a Master's Degree from Liberty University and I believe that marriage is between one man and one woman. Marriage is a states rights issue and not anything the Federal government should be involved with period.
Yes Do you support targeting suspected terrorists outside of official theaters of conflict?
Yes Should the U.S use military force in order to prevent governments hostile to the United States from possessing a nuclear weapon?
We must do whatever is necessary to eradicate terrorists off the face of the earth.
Yes Do you support allowing individuals to divert a portion of their Social Security taxes into personal retirement accounts?
For future generations that would be okay; however, in the meantime we must provide for everyone that has paid into Social Security and is expecting their return on investment. It is simply a unimaginable that we can continue to talk about Social Security running out of money while we are fully funding the Syrian refugee programs and allowing immigrants from countries that hate us, harbor and promote terrorists to continue to flock into this country.
