| No | g) Do you support the prohibition of public funds for abortion procedures? | ||
| No | h) Do you support the prohibition of public funds for organizations that perform abortions? | ||
| Actually, I do not believe in abortion. Nor paying for organizations that perform abortions. In case of rape, incest, I believe that the child should be allowed to be born and given over to a social agency. Due to abortion, our country has lost nearly 60 million people. I believe out of that 60 million, we'd be much further ahead if not for aborting some of God's special people. Biblically speaking, I believe in the principle set forth in the Bible that "Thou Shalt Not Kill". Therefore, I am an advocate of life. | |||

| I believe that our state is rich in resources to create dynamic industry that can alleviate the pain of financial burden. I do not believe that decreasing funding for public universities should be a way out for our financial independence, but rather pay more into our educational system, such as Initiative 42, to promote growth, development, industry, and a great business space to keep our talented people in the district as well as the state. I agree with tapping into Mississippi rainy day funds and investing those funds into viable industries creating revenue. | |||
| I believe that education should be greatly enhanced for K-12 because this is the foundation and the vehicle to take us beyond success in all these other areas. I believe voting "yes" for Initiative 42 would greatly enhance the educational levels of all our children. Therefore, allowing them to be creative to their optimum level, thereby maintaining an amazing status of confidence and success in all areas, bringing wealth, honor, dignity, and integrity to the district and the state of Mississippi. I believe a greatly educated workforce will improve the lives, health, well-being of all our people. | |||
| I believe that taxes should be increased for the most hazardous, habitual behaviors of products that we use because of the debilitating effects that they have on the great majority of the population. Hopefully, decreased use of those negative products will save lives. Corporate taxes should be increased because those companies can afford to pay more. I think small businesses should be taxed less, giving them a chance to create revenue, and middle-class families should pay taxes, but not as much as wealthy families. There should be a balance across the board for how much each entity should pay. | |||
a) Do you support limits on the following types of contributions for state candidates?
| Yes | 1) Individual | ||
| Yes | 2) Political Action Committee | ||

| Yes | 4) Political Party | ||
| Yes | b) Should candidates for state office be encouraged to meet voluntary spending limits? | ||
| Yes | c) Do you support requiring full and timely disclosure of campaign finance information? | ||
| Yes | d) Do you support the use of an independent AND/OR bipartisan commission for redistricting? | ||
| No | e) Do you support requiring a government-issued photo identification in order to vote at the polls? | ||
| I believe that there should be financial limits on how much an individual or an organization can spend during an election cycle. I also believe that a lot of good people that could be an asset to the people are left out because of their financial status. I don't support the government-issued photo identification because it hasn't determined any greater misuse of the voting apparatus. It is more of a political ploy to decrease voter participation. There should be limits on how much a corporation can provide to an individual or political organization. | |||

| No | e) Do you support the enforcement of federal immigration laws by state and local police? | ||
| I support medicinal marijuana to benefit cancer and glaucoma patients, but not for recreational purposes. Immigration, I feel, should be handled by a federal and state coalition to create a policy to work with immigrants, and using documentation to work them into our system so that they may pay taxes and become citizens of the United States. Also, I believe that capital punishment should be the last resort in any crime because it has largely been biased in its use toward African American males, Hispanics, and poor Caucasians. | |||

| My first priority would be to bring unity and diversity to District 42 as Democratic state senator. I believe it's essential that all groups, regardless of nationality, creed, or color, work together to solve the issues of that district. My second priority is education. I support Initiative 42 because of the force and power that it has in creating unique and wonderfully educated people who stay in the district, thereby enhancing job growth, development of industrial complexes, and businesses that can mold the community into an awesome district of procreativity. Legislative, state, and local fundraising programs would provide funding. |
