| Yes | k) Do you support applying sales taxes to all online purchases? | ||
| Education (K-12) should be reformulated to give all schools equal funding also include all children in a Pre-K program as well as requiring all children of Kindergarten age to attend. Environment; we need to protect our water supplies and eliminate coal ash hazards from entering our water ways. Infrastructure: We need a long term plan to maintain our roads and bridges. Welfare; needs to be completely reformed for those in need but not as a life long plan. | |||
| Alcohol, cigarette and small business taxes are at a sufficient levels of taxation. Gas/Oil taxes should be increased to meet inflation to help maintain our roads and bridges. Income tax should be reformed to benefit all. Sales taxes should be maintained at the current level and should apply to internet sales but unprepared food sales should not be taxed. Property tax for residential homes have been lowered and caped but farm land and businesses need to be reformed to meet the needs and fairness | |||

| Yes | b) Should candidates for state office be encouraged to meet voluntary spending limits? | ||
| Yes | c) Do you support requiring full and timely disclosure of campaign finance information? | ||
| Yes | d) Do you support the use of an independent AND/OR bipartisan commission for redistricting? | ||
| Yes | e) Do you support requiring a government-issued photo identification in order to vote at the polls? | ||
| Current campain funding laws are too broad and need to be tightened for all fasses of contributions to ensure ethics can be mantained. Elections are to costly and our outreaching anyone without ties to deep pockets for running for public office. Candidates should be elected on their marits and not on how must cash they can raise. Redistricting is a must and need to be preformed by a bypartisan and independent commission. It need to be done now and not waiting for the 2020 census to thake place. | |||
| No | a) Do you support capital punishment for certain crimes? | ||
| Yes | b) Do you support alternatives to incarceration for certain non-violent offenders, such as mandatory counseling or substance abuse treatment? | ||
| Yes | c) Do you support legalizing the possession of small amounts of marijuana? | ||
| No | d) Should a minor accused of a violent crime be prosecuted as an adult? | ||
| Yes | e) Do you support the enforcement of federal immigration laws by state and local police? | ||
| Yes | f) Do you support delaying the seizure of assets by law enforcement officials until after a conviction? | ||
| There are some incidents of violent crimes that a minor nearing adulthood should be prosecuted as an adult. The seizure of assets should only include evidence until a conviction is obtained. Our county jails are at a maximum level most of the time we need to has alternatives to incarceration for non-violent offenders to save the tax payers from footing the bill and eliminating over crowding in our jails. | |||

| Yes | b) Do you support lowering taxes as a means of promoting economic growth? | ||

| Yes | d) Do you support increased state funding for job-training programs that re-train displaced workers? | ||
| Yes | e) Do you support expanding access to unemployment benefits? | ||

| No | h) Do you support providing direct financial assistance to homeowners facing foreclosure? | ||
| Yes | i) Do you support an increase of the minimum wage? | ||
| No | j) Should employers be able to ask about applicants' criminal history before interviewing them? | ||
| I do support spending government funds to promote economic growth such as improving roads and infrastructure to entice business growth and relocation into our state with the condition of job creation. Lowering taxes should only be used for relocating businesses into our state and only for a short time period with a condition that full taxes be paid if a business closes or moves out of the area. | |||
| No | a) Do you support the national Common Core State Standards initiative? | ||
| Yes | b) Do you support a merit pay system for teachers? | ||
| Yes | c) Is the tenure process for public school teachers producing effective teachers? | ||
| Yes | d) Should parents be allowed to use vouchers to send their children to any school? | ||
| No | e) Do you support state funding for charter schools? | ||
| Yes | f) Do you support the state government providing college students with financial aid? | ||
| Yes | g) Should illegal immigrants who graduate from Indiana high schools be eligible for in-state tuition at public universities? | ||
| Common Core standards are not working we need to teach the students not teach to a test. We need to help our State Schools Superintendent not put up roadblocks in her path as our state government has done over the last four years. Charter schools are a for profit entity and should not have state funding. Equal funding should be provided to all our public schools. | |||
| Yes | a) Do you support state funding for the development of renewable energy (e.g. solar, wind, thermal)? | ||
| No | b) Do you support state funding for the development of traditional domestic energy sources (e.g. coal, natural gas, oil)? | ||
| Yes | c) Do you support state funding for improvements to Indiana's energy infrastructure? | ||
| Yes | d) Do you support state funding for open space preservation? | ||
| Yes | e) Do you support government regulations of greenhouse gas emissions? | ||
| No | f) Do you support increased regulations of the hydraulic fracturing ("fracking") industry? | ||
| I support state funding of renewable and reliable energy sources to reduce our dependence on fossil fuels. Energy infrastructure is a must and needs to be improved just like our roads, bridges and sewers. The regulation for hydraulic fracturing should be review and changes made to help protect people and the environment if needed. | |||
| Yes | a) Do you generally support gun-control legislation? | ||
| Yes | b) Should background checks be required on gun sales between private citizens at gun shows? | ||
| Yes | c) Should citizens be allowed to carry concealed guns? | ||
| Yes | d) Should a license be required for gun possession? | ||
| I support common sense gun control and I believe that it can be achieved without encroaching on anyone's second amendment rights. Assault style weapons are not designed for hunting or self defense they are designed for warfare and should be limited to the military and should be band for public sale or ownership. | |||
| Yes | a) Do you support a universally-accessible, publicly-administered health insurance option? | ||

| Yes | f) Do you support monetary limits on damages that can be collected in malpractice lawsuits? | ||
| Yes | g) Do you support allowing doctors to prescribe marijuana to their patients for medicinal purposes? | ||
| I do support universal health care for all our citizens. I'm not completely pleased with the "Affordable Care Act" but so far it is the best option our congress has developed so far. I do believe that if congress could work together they could solve some or all of the problems with the law. I do support medical marijuana in Indiana if well regulated. | |||
| Yes | a) Do you support same-sex marriage? | ||
| Yes | b) Do you support the inclusion of sexual orientation in Indiana's anti-discrimination laws? | ||
| Yes | c) Do you support the inclusion of gender identity in Indiana's anti-discrimination laws? | ||
| No | d) Based on the religious beliefs of the owners, should businesses be allowed to refuse services to their employees and/or customers? | ||
| I do support same-sex marriage as the Supreme Court has already ruled, though I believe religious clergy must not be force to preform the marriage. No one should be discriminated against and should be protected by law. | |||
| Developing a Pre-K or early learning program to include all of Indiana's children and mandating full time Kindergarten for children 5/6 year old. Funding would come from federal grants, a restructuring of the public school funding formula and changing the school voucher eligibility requirements. Designing a long term plan to rebuild or infrastructure (roads and bridges, safe water supply, sewer system, etc. Funding would have to come with increasing gas tax to keep up with inflation and investigating the possibility of "toll roads" on some of our highway system along with federal matching funds. |
