| There is no end to the money that government wants to take from you and me. I have to live on a budget and so should government. spending more money on education is not what is needed. the children in private schools focus on reading, writing and arithmetic not social engineering that is why they do better for less money. | |||
| Every one should pay the same level of taxes. Those who get something for nothing would be more concern about government spending is they had to kick in their share. The same is true for the so called sin taxes. I don't drink or smoke,but I don't expect those that do to pay my way. Finally, businesses don't pay taxes, they just include those taxes into the price of the product, so it is you and I who pay business taxes. | |||
| Employees of every business have taken pay cuts, so public employees should not be exempt. We need to lower the cost of tuition. Most of the large universities have large endowments maybe it's time to dip into this cash. The true poor should be taken care of I would support a part time unicameral legislature to reduce cost. | |||

| I have raised a grand total of $425 to run for office. I think the limits and reporting requirements make it hard for the average citizen to run for office. I am 68 years old and was required to show ID to buy a lighter. The whole purpose of the 1993 "Motor Voter Act" pushed by Bill Clinton and the Democrats, was to register voters when they get a driver's license, so what's the problem? | |||

| In 2004, my company left the state because of useless regulations. 250 people lost their jobs, and the State of TN gained those jobs. The only incentive the government needs to offer is cuts across the board on taxes. It won't help to train people if businesses don't come here. In my neighborhood, many of the people who lost their homes, lost them because of excessive property taxes, so if the state wants to help then it can cut taxes. | |||

The one source of energy, which the government is directly in charge of, IE our sewer system, is totally overlooked as a source of methane production. We literally flush millions of dollars of energy down the toilet every year. as long as people continue to eat, we will never run out of this resource. As far as CO2 is concerned, it is a necessary element for the growth of plants and reducing it could cause serious reductions in the food we eat. | |||

| For some reason some people don't understand what the word RIGHT means. When I got my drivers license. I was told that it was a privileged not a RIGHT. Rights are not granted by the government, instead they are understood just to be. The Constitution does not grant us our RIGHTS, just states the obvious. Native Americans have indigenous rights to hunt and fish and that means that if they chose to, they could kill every fish and animal and the government can't say a thing. That's what a right is. | |||

In the Bible is you wanted to get married, your parents through a party and every one witnessed then going into the house alone and the deal was signed and sealed. Keep it simple. | |||
