| Our public schools are struggling to stay afloat and I support increasing funding to provide the best, equitable education for all Michigan students. The lack of public school funding has lead to a chronic teacher shortage which only harms our public schools. Entities that pollute our water need to pay for their own clean up instead of taxpayers and we need oversight in place to prevent that pollution. Michigan roads are some of the worst in the country because of years of irresponsible governing for decades. | |||
| My top priorities are to protect the School Aid Fund and increase it so Michigan schools improve. Reading specialists, social workers and special education teachers are in need. Protecting our water from contaminants like PFAS is very important to me as well as polluter pay laws. Taxpayers should not have to bear the burden of cleaning up contaminants. Infrastructure investment has taken a back seat in the last couple decades and it shows in our roads, bridges, waterways and the absence of broadband access in certain areas of the state. |
