| Yes | In order to balance the budget, do you support reducing defense spending? | ||
| No | In order to balance the budget, do you support an income tax increase on any tax bracket? | ||
| Tax Reform The current tax code is intricate and cumbersome, relying on an interwoven system of loopholes and deductions to balance out already high taxes. My focus has been on simplifying the tax code and reducing the overall tax burden. | |||
| No | Do you support the regulation of indirect campaign contributions from corporations and unions? | ||
| As long as they are following the same guidelines as anyone else has to follow in order to contribute to a campaign, I am not against their involvement. | |||
| No | Do you support federal spending as a means of promoting economic growth? | ||
| Yes | Do you support lowering taxes as a way of promoting growth in the economy? | ||
| Yes | Do you support providing tax incentives to businesses for the purpose of job creation? | ||
| Yes | Do you support requiring states to implement education reforms in order to be eligible for competitive federal grants? | ||
| I feel that the local community and families of the children should be the most involved in the Child's education. That being said, the government has every right to not give federal funding if you do not comply with the reforms they want. | |||
| Do you believe that human activity is contributing to climate change? | |||
| No | Do you support the federal regulation of greenhouse gas emissions? | ||
| No | Do you support restrictions on the purchase and possession of guns? | ||
| The Second Amendment clearly states that the federal government has not right to restrict firearms. That being said, A State or community does have that power granted to them by the constitution. | |||
| No | Do you support repealing the 2010 Affordable Care Act? | ||
| While there have been countless problems with the ACA. We can not just repeal it all together, there are good things within that legislation. We need to work within it, and keep parts of it, while getting rid of the excess, and find a real way to bring healthcare costs down to help people access affordable healthcare. | |||
| No | Do you support requiring illegal immigrants to return to their country of origin before they are eligible for citizenship? | ||
| Many immigrants actually came here legally, on work visas. We need to simplify this process, and make it easier for people to gain access to citizenship. Having a simpler process and helping them be able to start paying taxes and getting involed. | |||

| While it is hard to explain on a scale of 1-6, Many programs do not need to have spending increased, but rather we need ways to eliminate the waste. We have seen great legislation proposed to eliminate this waste, and in fact reduce spending, but increase the acual efficency and see more of the funds being put to the proper use. | |||
| Many of these taxes are in place or are so high, simply because we have not dealt with the wasteful spending that we see in the Federal Government, by reducing taxes, eliminating loopholes, and removing corporate welfare, we can reduce taxes greatly, and still have the funds to keep all of the necessary programs. | |||
| While our top priority is the economy, we must fix our tax code by eliminating loopholes, as well are removing corporate welfare. This is a must to reduce spending overall , and lower taxes while maintaining economic growth. We must reduce our military spending, while putting our Veterans first. It has bothered myself, just as it has bothered every proud American seeing our Veterans getting the short end of the stick, always having the cuts, while we see exceptionally large contracts for things we do not need, we must keep our obligation to the people who serve. |
