What is the Political Courage Test?

California Congressional Election 2016 Political Courage Test

Unknown Position Do you generally support pro-choice or pro-life legislation?
I will be staying out of social issues during this election. We are at at a pivotal moment in our history. My focus will be the economy, jobs, veterans issues and national security. Without addressing these issues we cannot keep our families, communities and country safe.
No In order to balance the budget, do you support reducing defense spending?
No In order to balance the budget, do you support an income tax increase on any tax bracket?
I support allowing job creators to expand, I support creating a pro-business environment where American companies return to the U.S. and foreign companies relocated to the U.S. Because we still have the best work force in the world. This will elevate the poor and expand the middle class thus reigniting the American Dream.
Do you support the regulation of indirect campaign contributions from corporations and unions?
I will have to study this issue in detail. I do feel the system is broken and corrupt.
Yes Do you support capital punishment for certain crimes?
Yes Do you support alternatives to incarceration for certain non-violent offenders such as mandatory counseling or substance abuse treatment?
No Do you support mandatory minimum sentences for non-violent drug offenders?
As a former law enforcement officer, former undercover narcotics officer, a person who grew up in the inner city I fully understand this issue. I am also a volunteer gang intervention advisor. The criminal justice system needs a complete overhaul. It is critical that we start with our children. This subject matter requires extensive coverage with brutal honesty.
Yes Do you support federal spending as a means of promoting economic growth?
Yes Do you support lowering taxes as a means of promoting economic growth?
No Do you support providing tax incentives to businesses for the purpose of job creation?
In principle the government has no business in picking winners and losers. Our history to often has shown the government is not very good at this. The government should be focused in creating a atmosphere were entrepreneurs, job creators, investors, small business owners can floris without overwhelming burdens placed on them by government.
No Do you generally support requiring states to adopt federal education standards?
I support shutting down Federal Department of Education. States, local school dist, teachers and parents shoulsd be in charge of their children's education not a D.C. bureaucrat that has no idea what's going on back own. One size fits all education does not work.
Yes Do you support building the Keystone XL pipeline?
No Do you support government funding for the development of renewable energy (e.g. solar, wind, thermal)?
Do you support increased regulations on the hydraulic fracturing ("fracking") industry?
I support the private investors and companies fund their own ventures not the tax payers. I support making sure we have proper rules and regs to make sure we do no harm the environment, without over regulating so that we prevent our self reliance in order to satisfy special interest groups.
Do you believe that human activity is contributing to climate change?
No Do you support the federal regulation of greenhouse gas emissions?
I'm not a scientist and would have to enquire further in this subject. I do understand there have been made false and wild predictions about the environmental changes that seem to have been made without science. I also understand the earth has had extreme periods of climate change in its history. With that siad, being a good caretaker of the environment should be automatic.
No Do you generally support gun-control legislation?
Yes Do you support repealing the 2010 Affordable Care Act ("Obamacare")?
The American people were lied to by the President and even made fun of by it's creators. Since then millions of Americans have had their insurance rates double and have lost their doctors. Obamacare was and is a shame
Yes Do you support requiring immigrants who are unlawfully present to return to their country of origin before they are eligible for citizenship?
The immigration issue is no longer an immigration issue. It's much greater. Our borders need to be protected, criminal aliens and those who have scammed the system should be deported immediately. Cities that refuse to cooperate with Homeland Security should have funding with-held.
Unknown Position Do you support same-sex marriage?
As stated prior I am focusing on national safety issues, the economy, jobs and public safety.
Yes Should the U.S use military force in order to prevent governments hostile to the United States from possessing a nuclear weapon?
Unknown Position Do you support increased American intervention in Iraq and Syria beyond air support?
Yes Do you support allowing individuals to divert a portion of their Social Security taxes into personal retirement accounts?

The fact a substantial percentage of Americans now believe socialist system of government would be a better system, concerns me greatly. I was born in a socialist system of government. I can assure you Socialism does not work! Democracy and Freedom Does! Our economy, national security, veterans and education issues are intertwined . Without one we cannot have the other. All 4 of these issues and subject matters need to be executed at a optimum performance for the others to exist.
