| I have issues with the common core but have seen where some states have modified the requirements to fit their needs. I could go with that. I want my kid to be able to write cursive, tell time, and do math. my son was labeled "calculator dependent" and passed his grade. I made him learn math! now he does well. I do agree that critical thinking is necessary though, but I want my kid to learn some history and science; not just solve problems. I want teachers to read the homework. I taught for 41 years and read every assignment! | |||
