When government has been empowered to make decisions in the doctors office, it could be turned againt pro-life policies if it became popular. Forced abortions under an eugenics program could become a reality. I favor a small government that has no role in the doctor patient relationship. A government big enough to give you everything you want is a government big enough to take from you everything you have. | |||

| State spending has increased 80% over the last seven years. Alaska, already leading the nation in per resident spending, saw an increase from $7500 to $12000 per resident. With 90% of the state's revenue coming from oil taxes, this level of spending is outright dangerous. In the event of a collapse in the oil markets, or interruptions to North Slope production, the state would be forced to find other sources of revenue. This could lead to aggressive new state taxes on income, property, or retail sales further harming the Alaskan economy. | |||
